My name is Arie Roos and I am a life coach. Here is a short-version of my life so far:

I was born in Cape Town, raised in Pretoria until the age of 6, and then raised in Cape Town again to the age of 22. I did a GAP year as a school camp facilitator near Stanford (the one close to Hermanus) and after that I pursued a degree in Mathematics at Stellenbosch University. Armed with my degree I moved to Pretoria as an experiment in independence (see what I did there). For a few years I fell around between different software development jobs until I realised that my true passion lies with people. Now I spend my free time studying the philosophy and science of life and self improvement.

I am now embarking on an experiment of career change. After 2 years of hard work, I passed the New Insights life coaching course with a meritorious distinction. Now I can live and work according to my true calling: Helping others make their lives worthwhile.

Some more interesting tidbits about me:

  • I was born on the 16th of September in 1989.
  • I am married to the most amazing woman on this planet. She loves animals.
  • My parents are both from the Netherlands, and therefore I will never say no to drop (Dutch licorice) or any other tasty things the Dutch make.
  • In spite of the above, I also love Biltong… Best of both worlds I guess.
  • I helped my wife to foster the following baby animals:
    • Puppies
    • Kittens
    • Budgies
    • A Lamb (in our 2 bedroom apartment nogal)
